Taking the Stress out of the Holidays with Acts of Kindness

The holidays are not always easy. Studies show there is an increase in stress levels, calorie intake, and time constraints during this time of year, but Remedium is on a mission to make this time a little more merry and bright by doing acts of kindness for people, animals, and even the environment every day this season. Remedium has launched their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaignfor 30 days with their health and fitness subscription box to make holiday shopping a little easier and to do good this holiday season.

Every day during their crowdfunding, Remedium’s founder, Eric Gilbert, is doing at least one act of kindness around Gainesville, FL as a way to show his appreciation based on suggestions from backers and social media followers of Remedium. “This is a fun and practical way to show people that we are serious about doing good, and it also gives us the opportunity to highlight the good work of non-profits and organizations,” Eric said. “Our team looks for ideas and suggestions that people are making and then we find creative and fun ways to go out there and do good.”

Remedium has put together a compilation video of the good deeds they have accomplished from their first week. The actions range from: providing meals and transportation to the homeless, feeding monkeys at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary, helping purchase items for some lucky shoppers, picking up garbage at a local park, and more. Remedium will continue their acts of kindness throughout December.

The Remedium health and fitness box is designed to be as practical and fun as possible. “We specifically chose products and plans that the vast majority of people would enjoy using even if they only have 5 minutes and they have no interest in going to gym. This box is designed to be useful for people who have been meaning to make healthier habits part of their daily life, but have struggled on where to begin and how to keep going,” Douglas Hutchinson with operations development said.

“The Remedium subscription box will give subscribers access to how to do fun exercises that can be done whether you are at the office, on the bus, running errands, or getting ready for bed,” Doug said. The products included in the box are composed of four types: Consumable food items, lifestyle items, enduring items that last for months, and legacy items that will last years. Examples of these products include superfood chocolates, fitness journals, travel packs, and wearable technology. “So many people want to be healthy and do good, we thought let’s combine those goals together and make it fun for everyone,” Eric said.

Remedium is a cause-based retailer that unites people with certified products that not only help with healthy living, but give back in transparent and wonderful ways. At a time with more “fake news” than ever before, conscious consumers are looking for proof that their purchases are making a difference. Remedium quality tests its products to make sure they meet or exceed their standards and investigates the brands to ensure the companies are on a continued path of measurable, sustainable good. Their aim is to give customers peace of mind and the sense of satisfaction of healthy choices that help others in meaningful ways.
